- 2 cups (15 oz/420 g/ 1 can) pumpkin puree ((not pumpkin pie filling))
- 3 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 1 ½ cups (10 ½ oz/ 300 g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup (4 oz/ 115 g) butter
- ½ cup (4 fl oz/ 120 ml) heavy cream
- ½ cup (4 oz/ 115 g) dark brown sugar
- ½ cup ( 3 ½ oz/100 g) pecans, toasted and chopped
- 1/16 teaspoon salt
- Whipped cream to serve
