Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • BBQ Jackfruit:
  • 1 20oz Can Jackfruit in Brine (drained)
  • 1 Cup Chopped Portobello Mushrooms
  • 1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Sweet Onion
  • 1 Tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Cup BBQ Sauce
  • Tahini Slaw:
  • 2 Cups Raw Broccoli Slaw
  • 2 TB Tahini
  • 1 TB Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 4 Small Gluten-Free Buns

Instruction

  • In a large seasoned cast iron skillet, add all the bbq jackfruit ingredients except the bbq sauce to heat over medium high heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Pour on the bbq sauce and take 2 forks to shred up the jackfruit and mix everything around with the sauce.
  • To make the tahini slaw, simply mix together all slaw ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  • To serve, slice your gluten-free buns/bread, place the pulled bbq jackfruit down first, then top with some of the tahini slaw before closing up the sandwiches.
