The following ingredients have 2 Servings
- 100 grams jaggery (crushed)
- 1/2 cup water (approx)
- 200 grams puffed rice / pori
- 1 tsp ghee (/clarified butter)
Instruction
- In a pan, add jaggery and water. Allow it to boil till jaggery melts completely. Then sieve it for any impurities.
- Again boil till hard ball consistency. To test this stage, pour little drops of jaggery mix on to a bowl of water if the jaggery settles down and if you could make a ball out of this settled down jaggery. Then it is an ideal time to remove it from the fire and keep aside.
- Mix crispy puffed rice on to the jaggery syrup and combine them well.
- When you can bear the heat, wet your hands with ghee and start making balls. Tighten them a little to form even spherical balls.
- Store Pori Urundai in air tight container.
