  • 8 to 9 curry leaves
  • 1 inch ginger (- roughly chopped)
  • ½ cup grated coconut (- fresh or frozen)
  • 1 or 2 green chilies (- chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon roasted chana dal ((roasted Bengal gram))
  • ¼ or ½ cup water (or as required)
  • ½ or ¾ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 8 to 9 curry leaves
  • 1 pinch asafoetida ((hing))
