Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3 potatoes (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder

Instruction

  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  • When the mustard seeds, add the cumin, garlic, curry leaves and urad dal.
  • Fry for a minute, add the onion.
  • Fry the onions till brown, add the salt and turmeric.
  • Add potatoes, mix well. Add little water.
  • Cook covered on low heat till the potatoes are done.
  • Finally, add the red chili powder and mix well. Serve hot.
