Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 0.667 cup milk
- 0.667 cup thick Double cream
- 3 cups small potatoes (even sized)
- 1.5 Tbsps butter (chopped)
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 0.5 tsp thyme
Instruction
- Heat the oven to 200C (180C in a fan oven) 400F, gas 6.
- Pour the milk and cream into a jug and mix together with a fork.
- Grease a 750ml/ 3 cup capacity ovenproof dish.
- Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes over the base of the dish, sprinkle with a little butter and cheese.
- Continue layering up the potatoes, with the butter and cheese.
- Pour over the milk and cream mixture and scatter over the thyme leaves.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour until the potatoes are tender. Remove the foil and cook for 10 more minutes, until the topping is golden.
