Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 and 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Caster Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Almond Meal
- 1 and 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 170 g Butter, (Softened)
- 1 Large Egg, (Lightly Beaten)
- 2 Tbsp. Water
- 1 Tin Pears, Drained and dried ((Or 1 and 1/2 fresh pears, dried))
- 3/4 Cup Black Doris Plum Jam
Instruction
- Line a 9"x13" pan with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice your pears into thin slices and leave them to dry on some paper towels.
- Add the flour, caster sugar, almond meal and baking powder to a food processor.
- Add the softened butter and pulse until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Add the lightly beaten egg and water.
- Mix until the mixture forms a dough.
- Spread the mixture in an even layer over the base of the prepared baking tin.
- Spread over the plum jam.
- Top with the pear slices and bake for 25-35 minutes.
- A skewer inserted should come out clean.
- Allow the slice to cool completely before slicing.
