Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 2 cans pizza sheet dough
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
- 20 pepperonis
- 4 tablespoons fresh basil (roughly chopped)
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 425 F. Open one of the canned dough sheets and unroll. Stretch until it is an even thickness across. Repeat with the second can of dough, stretching the dough to be the same size as the first. Set second sheet aside to prep the first.
- Use the back of a spoon to spread the pizza sauce across the dough in an even layer.
- Arrange the pepperonis in rows, just barely overlapping. Leave about a half inch between each row - you should have about 6 rows of pepperoni.
- Spread the cheese over the top of the pepperonis then place the second layer of sheet dough on top. Cut the dough into strips, in the open spaces between the rows of pepperoni.
- Take each end of the strips and twist in opposite directions 1-2 times. Place the twists onto a baking sheet and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the pizza twists are golden brown and cooked through. Serve with some ranch or additional pizza sauce, for dipping. Enjoy!
