Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1-1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cooked pork sausage crumbles
- 4 ounces chopped sliced pepperoni
- 1 large egg ((lightly beaten))
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
- 1-1/2 cups jarred pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup extra shredded Mozzarella ((for topping))
- 18 extra pepperoni slices ((for topping))
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Spray an 18-cavity nonstick muffin tin with nonstick spray or grease lightly.
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the flour, Italian seasoning, oregano, garlic and onion powders, red pepper flakes, black pepper, baking powder and baking soda.
- Once that is mixed well, add the Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, sausage crumbles and chopped pepperoni, tossing those to coat nicely with the flour mixture.
- In another small bowl, whisk the egg with the oil and pizza sauce.
- Combine the sauce with the flour mixture, mixing gently until it forms a batter.
- Divide batter among muffin tin cavities.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella topping over all and tuck in a pepperoni.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until done inside.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then turn out. Serve warm.
