Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 8 cups plum tomatoes (or other small tomatoes)
  • 1 cup chia seeds or 2 cups flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon  basil
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon  rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon  sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon  salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion

Instruction

  • Juice tomatoes, saving 1 1/2 cups of the pulp. Add the juice to the chia seeds (or flax seeds).
  • After seeds have soaked for about 30 minutes, add tomato pulp, diced onion, and herbs, and mix in a food processor. Fold in soaked chia seeds.
  • Spoon teaspoon or tablespoon sized spoonfuls - depending on what size you want your crackers - onto a Teflon sheet and dehydrate for 20-28 hours at 105°.
