Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 puff pastry sheets (thawed)
  • Tomato puree
  • Oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Mozzarella (shredded)
  • Egg (beaten)

Instruction

  • Mix together the tomato puree, oregano, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and salt to taste. Keep aside.
  • Cut out two Christmas tree shapes from the puff pastry sheets.
  • Spread some of the prepared pizza sauce on one of the puff pastry Christmas trees. Top with shredded mozzarella and cover with the other tree.
  • Cut out the branches with a sharp knife and press the sides to close well. Twist the branches and add a star at the top.
  • Brush with beaten egg and bake at 180°C – 355°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
