Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 125g butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup flaked almonds
  • 1/2 cup glace cherries, chopped
  • 8 marshmallows
  • 30g butter
  • 60g dark chocolate
  • 1 cup icing sugar, sifted

Instruction

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs and melted butter. Fold wet mixture into dry mixture. Add half the almonds and half the glace cherries and fold to combine.
  • Preheat pie maker. When hot, lightly grease holes. Spoon mixture into each hole until half full, then place a marshmallow on top and cover with more mixture. Close lid and cook for 6-8 minutes until cooked through. Remove to a cooling rack and repeat with remaining mixture and marshmallows.
  • To make glaze, melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan. Stir through icing sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of boiling water to create a smooth glaze.
  • Dip doughnuts upside down in the glaze, then place on a plate and sprinkle with remaining almonds and cherries.
