Ingredients
The following ingredients have 36 Servings
- 2 sticks unsalted butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- red and green food coloring
Instruction
- Cream butter and sugar with a handheld or electric mixer.
- Mix in flour, salt, and vanilla.
- Stir in nuts.
- Drop teaspoonsful of the cookie dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Make an indent in each cookie with your thumb (dip your thumb in flour before pressing into the cookie so that it doesn't stick).
- Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Cool for 2 minutes and then remove the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
