Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 8 Bartlett pears (peeled, seeds removed, sliced 1/4" thick)
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp corn starch
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup pecans (chopped)
- 1½ cups all purpose flour
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 stick butter (cut into small pieces)
- ⅓ cup boiling water
- 4 Tbs sugar
- 1½ tsp cinnamon
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375°
- Peel, remove seeds and slice pears. Add to large mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, corn starch, lemon juice and nutmeg over pears.
- Stir until pears are well coated.
- Gently stir in pecans.
- Pour into an ungreased 9 X 13 baking dish.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and salt together.
- Using a pastry blender, mix butter into flour mixture and blend until mixture becomes crumbly.
- Pour in boiling water and stir until combined.
- Spoon mixture over pears and spread gently making sure to cover the pears.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle on top of the cobbler.
- Bake for approximately 35-40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown.
- Top with vanilla ice cream.
