Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
- Two - 29 ounce cans pear halves in light syrup (drained and cut into chunks)
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (make your own buttermilk by adding 1 Tablespoon lemon use to 1 cup milk, let sit to curdle)
- 3 Tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for sprinkling, if desired)
Instruction
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Butter an 8x8 baking dish.
- Place your pear chunks in the buttered 8x8 pan, set aside.
