Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
  • Two - 29 ounce cans pear halves in light syrup (drained and cut into chunks)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (make your own buttermilk by adding 1 Tablespoon lemon use to 1 cup milk, let sit to curdle)
  • 3 Tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for sprinkling, if desired)

Instruction

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Butter an 8x8 baking dish.
  • Place your pear chunks in the buttered 8x8 pan, set aside.
