Ingredients
The following ingredients have 2 Servings
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 oz goat cheese ((or more, depending on your taste and the size of the bread))
- ½ pear (seeds and stem removed (not too soft))
- 2 teaspoons fig balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon butter (softened to room temperature)
Instruction
- Thinly slice the pear on a mandoline slicer.
- Spread goat cheese on each sandwich half. Drizzle each sandwich half with about a teaspoon of the balsamic glaze. Place the pear slices on top of the drizzled goat cheese - it's OK if the pieces overlap a little. Top the sandwiches with the second slice of bread. Spread a bit of butter on both sides of the sandwiches.
- In a large skillet, cook the grilled cheese sandwiches over medium-low heat for about 3-5 minutes per side, or until the bread is a nice golden brown and the goat cheese softens and starts to melt. Remove from heat, slice in half, and enjoy!
