Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cane sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Instruction

  • Combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder & soda, salt) into a large bowl and set aside.
  • In a microwave safe dish, melt coconut oil; set aside.
  • Mash banana in the bottom of a large bowl (I used a fork to do this), then add the water, milk and vanilla; stir to combine.
  • Stir in the coconut oil and peanut butter with the wet ingredients, then combine the wet and dry ingredients.
  • Preheat your waffle maker and spray it with nonstick spray if necessary.
  • Once waffle maker is hot, scoop a heaping 1/2 cup of batter into the waffle maker and cook until the "ready" light comes on. Use a spatula or tongs to remove waffle from waffle maker. Repeat this process until the batter is gone.
