The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup peanut butter (unsalted natural is preferred either crunchy or creamy.)
- 2 LG eggs
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups flour (whole wheat is preferred. I used 1 cup of whole wheat and one cup of unbleached white flour)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp honey (this is optional)
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner.
- In a medium-size mixing bowl add peanut butter, eggs, pumpkin, water, and optional honey. Mix well.
- Add flour and spices. Stir to combine all ingredients.
- On a lightly floured surface knead the dough about 1 minute. Divide dough into 4 portions.
- Roll one portion of dough into a circle about 1/4 inch - 3/8 inch thick on a floured surface.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out the dog treats.
- Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet about 1/2 inch apart.
- Bake dog treats for about 15 minutes. Let treats cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
- Store dog treats in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
