Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 - 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cups ripe Jersey Fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4-5 tablespoons Sriracha hot sauce, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instruction

  • Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onions, cumin and chili powder. Cook 3 minutes until transparent.
  • Add peaches and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking for 10 more minutes. (Add more or less Sriracha sauce depending on your taste preference.)
  • Remove from heat and cool.
  • Pour barbecue sauce in a blender and puree until smooth.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to one week or process in a mason jars using the water bath canning process.
