Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 - 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 3 cups ripe Jersey Fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 4-5 tablespoons Sriracha hot sauce, to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instruction
- Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onions, cumin and chili powder. Cook 3 minutes until transparent.
- Add peaches and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking for 10 more minutes. (Add more or less Sriracha sauce depending on your taste preference.)
- Remove from heat and cool.
- Pour barbecue sauce in a blender and puree until smooth.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to one week or process in a mason jars using the water bath canning process.
