Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped (and peeled) peaches
  • 3/4 up to 1 cup white, granulated sugar ((See Note 1))
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice (from freshly squeezed lemons)
  • For serving: lots of ice, lemon slices or additional peach slices, fresh mint

Instruction

  • In a small saucepan, bring 4 cups water, 2 cups coarsely chopped peaches and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 2-4 minutes or until peaches are tender. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Carefully transfer mixture to a blender. Blend until smooth and then press the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl or pitcher (discard any solids or save the solids to add to a smoothie). Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Cover tightly and chill for 2-3 hours or until thoroughly cold.
  • To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the Peach Lemonade over. Add fresh lemon slices or additional peach slices to glasses. If desired, garnish with mint.
