Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 cup frozen chopped peaches
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup cottage cheese ((full fat, 4-6% milkfat))
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup ((or sugar free syrup))
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1 cup cold water
  • ¼ teaspoon dried culinary lavender ((optional))

Instruction

  • Place the blueberries, peaches, cottage cheese, cold water, ice, syrup, and lavender into a food processor and blend until completely smooth. Blend a little longer than you typically might for a smoothie to ensure the cottage cheese and ice are thoroughly blended in.
  • Taste the smoothie and add an additional tablespoon of maple syrup if you like it sweeter. (I always skip this, but wanted to include the option for those with a sweet tooth.)
  • Pour the smoothie into tall glasses or wide-mouth mason jars and serve immediately with wide straws.
  • Added sugar free option: Pour 3 tablespoons boiling water over 3 fresh (pitted and chopped) Medjool dates. Let sit for 10 minutes. Put the dates and water into a mini chopper and blend into a smooth date paste. You may need to scrape down the sides of the chopper with a spatula several times because the dates will stick to the sides. Use the date paste as a substitute for the maple syrup in this recipe.
