Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Instruction
- In a large measuring cup, whisk together warm water with sugar and active dry yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add in yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place dough into a large greased bowl. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Deflate dough and divide in half. Roll out each half into a rectangle. Cut into strips and place onto 2 large greased baking sheets. Evenly spread melted butter over each bread stick.
- In a small bowl, mix together grated parmesan cheese, salt, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, dried oregano and dried basil.
- Evenly sprinkle the cheese mixture over the bread sticks. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
