Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3 medium potatoes (washed and peeled)
  • 3 tablespoons butter or bacon grease
  • ½ cup white onion (chopped into large cubes)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instruction

  • Cut the potatoes into ¼ inch slices.
  • Rinse potatoes in a colander. Shake off the excess water.
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Layer the potatoes into the skillet.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Cook covered over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
  • Add onions and cook uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping over once or twice so the potatoes brown evenly.
  • Cook until the potatoes are tender and browned.
