Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3 medium potatoes (washed and peeled)
- 3 tablespoons butter or bacon grease
- ½ cup white onion (chopped into large cubes)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instruction
- Cut the potatoes into ¼ inch slices.
- Rinse potatoes in a colander. Shake off the excess water.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Layer the potatoes into the skillet.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Cook covered over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
- Add onions and cook uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping over once or twice so the potatoes brown evenly.
- Cook until the potatoes are tender and browned.
