Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 t white corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 loaf french bread
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/4 t salt
Instruction
- Grease a 13x9 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Beat eggs, milk, vanilla and salt together in a medium mixing bowl. Set aside.
- Melt butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir for one minute. Pour mixture into greased casserole dish, tilting as needed to spread to the edges. Place bread on top, breaking up as needed to fill in all gaps.
- Pour egg mixture over bread, pressing down to ensure all pieces are soaked in mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350F. Bake casserole for 35-40 minutes, or until lightly browned on top and cooked through. Flip casserole out onto serving tray, top with fresh berries and serve immediately.
