Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 4 lb whole chicken ((thawed and giblets removed))
- 2 tbsps chicken seasoning
- 4 tbsps butter
- 2 tbsps olive oil
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place chicken in a roasting pan, and rub butter in between the skin and meat.
- Rub olive oil all over the outside of the chicken.
- Sprinkle with about 2 tablespoons of chicken seasoning. (See recipe on this site.)
- If desired, add quartered onions and fresh thyme in the cavity.
- Bake in the oven for about 1 hour and 35 minutes or until it has reached at least a 165 F. degree temperature. (This timing may need to be adjusted based on the size of the bird. See notes below.)
- Remove from oven and cover with a foil tent. Allow the roasted chicken to rest for 10 minutes.
