Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbs golden syrup
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1/2 tsp almond essence
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 250 g butter
- 500 g sultanas
Instruction
- In a large saucepan, boil the sultanas in 1 cup of water until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Add the butter and syrup, and stir until melted. Allow to cool slightly.
- Beat in the eggs and sugar.
- Add the essence and dry ingredients, mixing well.
- Pour into a greased tin and bake at 175C for 1½ hours.
