Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 to 12 chicken legs with skin (3 pounds total)
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a Dutch oven or 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine the ketchup, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it comes just to a boil and the brown sugar has dissolved, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  • Arrange the chicken legs in the prepared baking dish. Pour the sauce over the chicken, turning the pieces with tongs to coat them.
  • Place the baking dish in the oven, uncovered, and bake until cooked through, 90 minutes, turning the legs halfway through the cooking time.
  • Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package directions.
  • Place the rice on a platter and arrange the chicken legs on top. Spoon the sauce over all and serve.
