Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3 cup self-raising flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 5 tbs butter
- 1 cup milk
Instruction
- Sift flour and salt into a bowl.
- Rub in butter with tips of fingers until mixture is a fine soft crumble.
- Make a well in the centre of bowl and stir in milk with a knife to form a soft dough.
- Turn onto a floured surface and knead lightly.
- Pat dough gently to a 2 cm thickness and cut out with a floured scone cutter.
- Place on a ungreased scone tray and brush lightly with milk.
- Bake at 200C for 15-20 minutes.
- Turn out into a tea towel lined dish and cover and wrap with another tea towel.
- Leave for 5 minutes or until cold.
- Serve with jam and cream or butter if preferred
