Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3 large eggs
- ¾ cup light tasting oil (like canola, vegetable, or grapeseed oil)
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 5 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 ½ cup toasted walnuts
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350 ° F. Oil the inside of a 9x13-inch pan, and set aside.
- Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, beat together eggs, oil, and sugar for 2-3 minutes. Mix in vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the flour and baking soda, and slowly beat until barely combined.
- Add the apples and walnuts, and mix together until well combined.
- Turn the mixture into the oiled pan. Bake in 350° F oven about 1 hour, or until the sides of the cake begin to pull away from the sides of the pan and the top is a caramel brown color. Insert tooth pick in center; it will come out clean when cake is baked.
- Cool the cake in the pan. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream. Cake keeps well in cool place.
