Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 2 tablespoons Bacon fat (Or olive oil to make Vegan)
  • 1 pound Okra (Sliced)
  • 1 cup Chopped tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup Green onion (Sliced)
  • 1/4 cup Green pepper (Chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Granulated sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instruction

  • Saute okra in bacon fat for 5 minutes or until the inside is tender and the exterior is crisp.  Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste then season if necessary and serve.
