  • Okonomiyaki Sauce:
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Okonomiyaki:
  • 450 g/ 1 lb/ 5 cups shredded cabbage
  • 50 g/ 1.8 oz/ 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 4 spring onions (divided)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 125 ml/ 4.2 fl.oz/ ½ cup dashi or water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt
  • 120 g/ 4.2 oz/ 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 200 g/ 7 oz thinly sliced bacon (See note)
  • 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil or as needed
