Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 0.75 cup butter
- 0.667 cup caster sugar
- 1 egg yolk (beaten)
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup rolled oats
Instruction
- Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5. Line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
- Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and creamy. Beat in the egg yolk.
- Sift in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt and stir until blended. Stir in the oats until well mixed. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Drop teaspoons of the mixture, well apart onto the baking trays. Gently flatten them with the base of a floured glass.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Cool on the baking trays for 3 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
