Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Nutella
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 large egg yolks

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Whisk all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk in Nutella, egg yolks and egg.
  • Add dry ingredients and walnuts to the Nutella and egg mix and work the mixture with your hands for about 1 to 2 minutes, until it comes together – it should be a slightly sticky dough ball.
  • Divide the dough in half and place them on a piece of parchment paper. Flatten and shape each piece into a rectangular loaf, about 2 inches high.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes and lower heat to 275ºF.
  • Slice the loaves into half and inch thick pieces and place the pieces back on the parchment paper.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Turn the heat off and take the biscotti out of the oven. Let cool to room temperature before eating.
