Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 1 1/2 cup gluten free Rice Krispie cereal
  • 2 cup Rice Chex
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp shortening

Instruction

  • Spray a 9 x 9 inch dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the Rice Krispies and Chex in a bowl and combine.
  • In a sauce pan, combine the peanut butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  • Cook over low heat until all is well combined and sugars have dissolved. This will take a minute or two.
  • Pour mixture of cereals and combine until cereal is well coated.
  • Pour mixture into the prepared 9 x 9 pan and press into the pan. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Place the chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 15 – 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Drizzle or pipe the chocolate over the cooled bars. Serves 12.
