Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2/3 cup table cream (18%)
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 cups peaches, chopped or sliced
  • 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground (more or less to taste)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup biscuit mix
  • 4 teaspoons grated orange rind

Instruction

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.  Prepare a casserole dish that will hold 5 cups of peaches with cooking spray and set aside.  In a saucepan, over medium heat, blend 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.  Add water and stir.  Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.  Remove from heat and add butter and peaches.  Toss to coat. Dump peach mixture into your prepared casserole dish and set aside. 
  • In a medium sized bowl combine biscuit mix, 2 teaspoons orange rind and 2 tablespoons sugar. Blend in cream.  Spread dough on top of your peach mixture. 
  • In a small bowl combine 2 tablespoons sugar and orange rind. Sprinkle on top of your dough., if desired.  W always do because she always did.    
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until biscuit is light brown and cooked.  Serve warm with whipped or ice cream!  Enjoy!
