  • 1 envelope active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 and 1/2 cups water, 110 - 115 degrees (F)
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into chunky cubes
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees (F) at least 30 minutes prior to baking pizza.
