Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 onion finely chopped small
  • 50 g butter
  • 275 g mushrooms fresh thinly sliced
  • 50 g plain flour
  • 500 ml Massel Chicken Style Liquid Stock
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste

Instruction

  • Melt butter in a pan and fry onions gently for 5 minutes until soft but not coloured.
  • Add mushrooms and cook gently, stirring for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the flour and cook the mix for 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and gradually stir in the chicken stock.
  • Bring to boil, stirring, until the soup is thick.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and milk.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley if desired.
