The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 large chicken legs or 8 chicken thighs
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 small clove garlic (crushed)
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp Sumac
  • 1 tsp salt (to taste)
  • ½ tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 500 ml water
  • 4 medium onions (finely chopped)
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp Sumac
  • 2 cardamoms (seeds only, ground)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 pieces Taboon bread OR flatbread of your choice
  • a little Sumac for sprinkling over
  • handful of pine nuts
