- 1 Tbsp Sumac
- 1 tsp salt (to taste)
- ½ tsp coarsely ground black pepper
- 500 ml water
- 4 medium onions (finely chopped)
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp Sumac
- 2 cardamoms (seeds only, ground)
- ½ tsp salt
- 4 pieces Taboon bread OR flatbread of your choice
- a little Sumac for sprinkling over
- handful of pine nuts
