Ingredients
The following ingredients have 15 Servings
- 1 cup rice flour (processed/idiyappam flour)
- 18 whole cashews
- 1/2 teaspoon omam/ajwain seeds
- 1 teaspoon hot oil + Oil for deep frying
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
- water
Instruction
- Dry roast and powder the cashews. Heat oil for deep frying.
- Take processed rice flour,cashew flour, hot oil, omam/carom seeds, chili powder (if using) and salt in a mixing bowl. Rub the hot oil well till the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Add water slowly and knead to a smooth dough.
- Take the murukku achu with desired shape (star or round) and fill with dough.
- Press into hot oil and deep fry from both side till golden.
- Store mundiri murukku airtight and serve as required.
