Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 cup coarse gram flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • pinch of orange food colour
  • 2-3 tbsp melon seeds
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup water to make syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • few drops of lemon juice
  • ghee to fry

Instruction

  • take gram flour in a bowl
  • add milk, water and food colour to make a thick batter
  • heat ghee in a kadhai
  • once the ghee is hot, put the flame to medium and hold the boondi ladle above the ghee
  • pour the batter all over the ladle and start tapping the handle of the ladle so that boondi comes out in the ghee
  • once the bubble reduces, remove boondi from ghee and drain on absorbent paper
  • repeat the same process for the remaining batter
  • to make sugar syrup, boil sugar and water until one string consistency
  • switch off the flame, add cardamom powder and lemon juice
  • add boondi and mix well
  • cover with a lid and let it rest for 10 minutes
  • add melon seeds
  • grease your hand with ghee
  • take boondi and make ladoos
