Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- Ingredients for the beef:
- 1 pound flank steak (cut into 1/4 inch thick pieces (about 500g))
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup tapioca starch
- Ingredients for the sauce:
- 2 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 3-4 green onion (green parts only, cut into 1-2 inch pieces)
- 1-2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instruction
- In a Ziploc back, marinate the steak pieces with soy sauce, sesame oil, and corn starch for at least 15 minutes. Add in the tapioca starch and shake, making sure all the pieces are coated.
- Line the fryer basket with a sheet of lightly greased aluminum foil. Put the steak pieces in, preferably without stacking, and air fry at 400F (200C) for about 8 minutes, flip once until the edges look slightly crispy.
- In the meantime, in a frying pan or a wok, saute the garlic and grated ginger in olive oil for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add in the soy sauce and brown sugar and stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
- When the beef is done, toss the beef in the sauce, followed by the green onion. To serve, sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds if desired.
