Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 1-2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 large green pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 Tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 28oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 6oz can tomato paste
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can black beans
  • 6oz water
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic

Instruction

  • First add your olive oil to a pot and let heat up. Add your onion and green pepper and cook until they start to soften.
  • Add your meat and as it starts to brown, add the cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  • Mix well and continue to brown.
  • Lastly add your tomato products, beans and garlic. Make sure to drain and rinse the beans first.
  • After adding the tomato paste, fill the 6oz can with water and add to the pot.
  • Let cook over medium heat for 20 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  • Can be served as is, over rice or macaroni.
