Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 stick of butter
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 12 oz powdered sugar 3/4 of a standard box of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a sauce pan, bring to boil 2 sticks of butter, 1 cup of water and 4 Tablespoons of cocoa.
- Stir well and then take off the stove to cool.
- In a large bowl add your flour, sugar, salt and baking soda and mix well.
- When cooled pour chocolate mixture into the flour mixture along with 2 beaten eggs and the sour cream. Mix to combine.
- Pour into a large greased and floured sheet pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until done.
- Ice while warm.
- To make the icing, bring to boil 1 stick of butter, 6 Tablespoons of milk, 4 Tablespoons of cocoa and mix well. set aside to cool a bit and then add the powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Mix well and spread over warm cake.
- Let sit and completely cool before slicing into pieces.
