Ingredients
The following ingredients have 20 Servings
- 16 oz mutton
- 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley (+ more for topping)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 4 tablespoons nutter
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup onion (finely diced)
- 3 tablespoons flour
- salt & pepper (to taste)
- egg noodles (for serving)
Instruction
- In a small bowl, combine the ground lamb with the breadcrumbs, green onion, cloves, egg, parsley, salt & pepper until the breadcrumbs are completely incorporated.
- Form the meat into small balls (about three tablespoons of meat). Melt two tablespoons of butter over medium heat while preparing the meatballs.
- Prepare the noodles according the package instructions.
- Add the meatballs to the pan and turn frequently to brown on all sides - about one minute per side. Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.
- Without cleaning the pan, add the remaining butter to the skillet. Toss the chopped onion into the pan and stir until the onions have browned. Pour in the chicken broth and stir well.
- Sprinkle the flour over the top of the sauce to thicken. Whisk the flour until the sauce reaches your desired thickness.
- Return the meatballs to the pan and simmer to reheat through. Pour the sauce and meatballs over a serving of egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes. Eat like a Weasley and enjoy!
