Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 box firm tofu
- 2 tablespoon miso paste
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha Hot Sauce (optional)
- 4 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 green onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
Instruction
- Place a kitchen towel on the counter and place the tofu on top. Put a heavy item, such as a small pot, on top of the tofu for one hour to squeeze out excess water.
- In the meantime, prepare the sauce by mixing miso, Sriracha, brown sugar, sesame oil, and soy sauce together.
- Cut tofu into 1/2-3/4 inches thick slices then cut the surface of the tofu in a crisscrossed fashion without cutting through.
- Carefully put the tofu pieces into the parchment-lined fryer basket. Brush a thick layer of sauce onto the tofu and lightly dab the surface so the sauce can get into the crevices. Air fry at 400F (200C) for 10-12 minutes, brushing a layer of the sauce every 3-4 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.
- Sprinkle some green onion and sesame seeds to serve.
