Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar blend
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 cup buttermillk
  • 1 cup frozen sugar free whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup low fat, vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 fresh pear, cut into thin slices

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar blend, baking powder, ginger, and baking soda; mix well. Using a pastry blender, or fork, cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk, stirring just until moist. 
  • Drop dough by tablespoonfuls into 12 mounds on baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden. Let cool on wire rack. 
  • Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix whipped topping, yogurt, and nutemg until combined.
  • Split biscuits in half. Spoon mixture evenly onto bottom half, and replace biscuit top. Garnish with pear slices and serve.
