Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup onions, (diced)
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 15 ounce refried beans
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, (shredded)
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, (shredded)
  • 15 oz can nacho cheese sauce
  • 3 tablespoon pickled jalapenos
  • optional: guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos, green onions, and cilantro

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • Cook ground beef and onions until meat is no longer pink. Drain, return to pan and add taco seasoning and water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. 
  • Heat beans in a small saucepan until hot.
  • Spray a large stainless steel bowl generously with non-stick spray.
  • Add 1/4 of the tortilla chips, followed by 1/4 ground beef, beans, and cheese. Repeat 3 more times ending with cheese.
  • Place bowl in preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is hot and bubbly.
  • Carefully remove bowl from oven and scrape the cheese from the sides of the bowl.
  • Place a large platter or sheet pan over bowl and carefully invert. Remove bowl.
  • Heat nacho sauce until hot and pour over the top of the nachos.
  • Top with guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños, green onions, and cilantro.
