- 2 1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
- 1 2/3 cup(s) sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoon(s) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 2/3 cup(s) oil
- 2/3 cup(s) buttermilk
- 2 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cup(s) bananas, mashed
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla flavoring
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) banana flavoring
- FROSTING
- 1 stick(s) butter
- 3 1/2 cup(s) confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 - banana, mashed
- 2/3 cup(s) walnut pieces (or pecans)
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla flavoring
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) banana flavoring
Instruction
- CAKE: Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Pour in liquids and eggs. Beat for 2 minutes. Stir in bananas and flavorings.
- Pour batter into greased and floured pan(s). Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until done. (Can be baked as a Bundt cake.)
- FROSTING: Beat butter and confectioners' sugar until well blended. Mix in bananas, flavorings, and walnuts.
- Frost cooled cake. (If Bundt cake, use the same ingredients to make a glaze adding nuts as decoration.
