Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (chopped would be fine too)
  • 2 strips bacon (cooked crispy)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instruction

  • Place almonds in a small skillet, and toast over medium heat, stirring often. Cook until nuts begin to brown slightly. Remove from heat.
  • Place butter, maple syrup, almonds, bacon, and salt into a food processor. Mix until well combined.
  • Lay out two sheets of plastic wrap, about 6 inches wide, on a flat surface. Portion 1/2 of the butter mixture into the middle of each piece of plastic wrap in a log-ish shape.
  • Wrap one end of the plastic wrap over the butter to help form the butter into a log, and then keep rolling the butter log over the plastic wrap until it is all wrapped around the long side.
  • Twist the ends of the plastic wrap to tighten the butter into place. Tuck the ends under the butter, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to overnight before using.
