- 2 tablespoon(s) reduced calorie margarine, or unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon(s) prepared minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon(s) each dried basil, mrs dash
- 2 tablespoon(s) all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup(s) low sodium tomato juice
- 1 cup(s) skim evaporated, or regular skim milk
- dash(es) black pepper
Instruction
- In a medium saucepan melt margarine, and add garlic and herbs
- sautee over medium heat for 1 minute
- slowly stir in flour, to make a rue
- slowly add tomato juice , stirring constantly, boiling until it thickens
- stir in milk and heat thru, adding pepper to your own taste
