  • 2 tablespoon(s) reduced calorie margarine, or unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon(s) prepared minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon(s) each dried basil, mrs dash
  • 2 tablespoon(s) all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) low sodium tomato juice
  • 1 cup(s) skim evaporated, or regular skim milk
  • dash(es) black pepper

Instruction

  • In a medium saucepan melt margarine, and add garlic and herbs
  • sautee over medium heat for 1 minute
  • slowly stir in flour, to make a rue
  • slowly add tomato juice , stirring constantly, boiling until it thickens
  • stir in milk and heat thru, adding pepper to your own taste
